Terms of Service

Last updated:

These terms apply when you use the Nookmind app. We kept them short and plain. If anything is unclear, write to work@mejuvante.net.

Who you contract with

Nookmind is provided by MeJuvante GmbH, Robert-Bosch-Str. 4b, 35440 Linden, Germany ("MeJuvante", "we"). These terms apply to everyone who uses Nookmind. If you are a consumer, the rights the law gives you stay untouched.

What Nookmind is

Nookmind is a study app for your computer. It reads your own files and answers your questions from them with a local AI, on your PC. The internet is needed for signing in, for downloading the app, the AI engine and models, for updates and for the licence check.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. Keep your sign-in and your PIN to yourself; you are responsible for what happens with your account.

Trial and licence

How using Nookmind works:

  • You can try Nookmind for free for 14 days.
  • After the trial you need a paid licence. A licence runs for one year.
  • One licence covers up to 2 devices. You can free a device slot in the app.
  • The app must check in with our server at least every 21 days (7 days plus 14 days of grace). Without a check-in, and when the trial or licence ends, the app stops working until it can check in again or you get a licence. Your files on your PC are not affected.

Prices and payment

[[PAYMENT TERMS - when Paddle is live: price, payment through Paddle as merchant of record, renewal, cancellation, right of withdrawal]]

AI answers

AI answers can be wrong. Nookmind shows the file and page an answer is based on: check important information there yourself. Nookmind does not replace your teachers or professional advice, and we give no guarantee for exam results.

Fair use

Please do not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile or change the app, except where the law allows it
  • bypass or tamper with the licence check
  • share a licence beyond its 2 devices

Blocking misuse

If a licence or account is clearly misused, MeJuvante may block it. Where possible we tell you first and give you the chance to explain.

Liability

[[LIABILITY CLAUSE - to be written by the lawyer (German law limits what may be excluded towards consumers)]]

Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, linked at the bottom of every page.

Applicable law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live stay untouched.
